Rent

I saw Rent on Saturday. It was aboslutely fantastic. I had only seen the movie before, and wow was I blown away by the shear human factor of this play. I laugh, I cried, and I sang along. It was fantastic.

This photo almost got me kicked out. We weren’t allowed cameras, but they didn’t say anything about camera phones! :D The usher-lady yelled at me when she saw my phone. Crazy. But it was worth it!

I’ve heard that Rent will end its run on Broadway in August(?), so if you get the chance to go see it. DO IT. You will not regret it. Trust me. I really enjoyed myself, and it’s a play that everyone should see. It will give you a new perpestive on life, and always remember this quote: “No day but today.”

    I loved LOVED seeing this on Broadway when I went into NYC for the GOF premiere podcast. Such a powerful show.

    Wow! You saw RENT! I saw it on Broadway too but not with the original cast. I saw it though with Joey Fatone of N’Sync. He was great. My mother though did not like the show! I was surprised.

    I enjoyed it.

    I have the original Broadway recording on CD. If you have an appreciation for musical theater (as I see you do) I do encourage you to check it out!

    You know that I was unaware that the writer/composer of Rent, Jonathan Larson, had passed away. He was so young. He died before Rent was on Broadway. [I found this out last year as I was listening to the CD. I was surprised but tells you how you do not find out some things until you take time and research it for yourself]

    He died the day before my birthday in 1996. I was finishing up my last year of college in 1996.

    Tells you that we all need to be thankful for every day that God gives us.

    I read similar article also named Rent, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
